To dare is to do..

This is the best thing about Blackburn coming to the Lane every season. “England’s Number 1”.

I don’t know how many have seen this video. It’s actually shit in comparison to another because it doesn’t tell the whole story.

A dip in form sees Paul Robinson or ‘Robbo’ loses his place in the Carling Cup semi final win (5-1 haha!) against Arsenal. Seems to be out of favour with Ramos and Spurs head to Prague in the UEFA Cup.

Out of nowhere before the game Robbo heads over to the away fans. Gets the fans to be silent and.. “Spurs are on their way to Wembley”. Fans love it and join in.
Minute or so later the video above the fans call Robbo back over.

For some reason the initial video of Robbo starting the chants is no longer on Youtube but the man will always get a warm reception at the Lane. I’m not going today but it’s the only reason I usually look forward to the games against Blackburn.
Gutted it ended the way it did for Robbo here because he’s my favourite keeper we’ve had at the club in my time as a fan

Saw the video for this a little while ago. Spurs fans head to Charlton in the F.A youth cup with a win/lose attitude we’ll sing our hearts out regardless. No importance on the result, back the players, enjoy the game, create an atmosphere and a boost to the players out there.

We lost 1-0 with pretty much the last kick of the game which saw Charlton go through but a good 200-250 Spurs fans went which is crazy for a youth cup game.
I don’t know when the next time they’ll organise another game but I’ll look to do it one game.

I’ve not really posted anything the last few days. Busy and all that. Thought I’d give you a picture of the Lane though. I’m going to the game straight from work tonight - hopefully there’ll be no train delays. Anyway this will roughly be my view tonight. In the Paxton lower. Hopefully it’s a good game, I love evening games but then I can’t see Wigan bringing more than 50 fans so the atmosphere could be a little flat. COYS!

”.. with a game in hand.”

How weird. It’s just become a natural saying since August but we’ve actually played our game in hand tonight.
Oh and we won it too.

1st. Manchester City - 20 games played - 48 points
2nd. Manchester United - 20 played - 45 points.
3rd. Tottenham Hotspur - 20 played - 45 points.
4th. Chelsea - 20 played - 37 points
5th. Arsenal - 20 played - 36 points.
6th. Liverpool - 20 played - 34 points.

Utter bonkers. Joint 2nd in January? Probably a good time to get a print out of the table and have it framed haha.

Strangely enough our last 18 games have returned 45 points.
Barcelona have played 17 league games and only picked up 38 points.

Better than Barca. Fact! Haha

I’ll be going here today. Still as exciting as it was the first time. I’ve missed the Lane this season. It’s nice having money. Need to make up for midweek’s embarrassment. Let’s make it a bit more comfortable than the Bolton game last season though eh? Left it far too late for Niko to get the winner. I still put that down to Newcastle taking the roof off too. 4-0 down and they’ve equalised against the gooners and the place go’s mental. Moments later we’ve snatched a late winner. Oddly enough I’ll be sat in the same seat as last season, probably more bizarrely is it’s technically an ‘away’ seat but given Bolton’s allocation isn’t too high we have extra tickets than normal. COYS! Let’s make it 10 wins in 11 games.

Sorry what? We’re third having played a game less than everyone in the league? I don’t understand.

One of the most bizarre games I’ve seen. We looked absolutely fantastic yet I don’t really feel we got out of first gear. It’s strange.
The desire, hunger, team spirit tonight was something else. Villa were absolutely awful but we showed no complacency, we wanted the win regardless.

8 wins from 9 games. 25 points from 27. Our form since the transfer window closed has been sensational.
Friedel - King - Parker - Adebayor. Three of those missed the only games we’ve lost this season. Ifs and buts but I wish we could go back and replay the first two games.

COYS!

Gareth Bale <3

Another cracker from ‘Yidvids’ too. I’ve posted a few of his youtube videos now.

Hammersmith End by Tom Cuppens
Craven Cottage: Home ground of Fulham F.C.

I can’t even explain how much I wish I was going to Craven Cottage today. It’s the best away day in the league I reckon. Their manager isn’t bad either.. ‘arry’s in hospital and all you’ll hear from the Spurs fans today is Martin Jol’s name. I wish I was going.Have fun Carrie :(

Harry Redknapp - 3 Years in charge.

It’s probably going to sound mental to a few people but I’m not a huge Redknapp fan. I’m grateful for the memories he’s given me but given his time at West Ham, Southampton, Pompey aswell as constantly having a pop at the fans (alright not constantly) I’ve never really warmed to Redknapp in the same way I did the big dutch man.

With that said I don’t want this to be an anti-Redknapp post given the video I’ve just posted. I was there for Ramos’ final home game against Hull and it was such a depressing Sunday afternoon (Stoke away following it wasn’t much better). So ‘arry..

- Beating Arsenal.
- Beating Arsenal regularly
- Winning at the Emirates.
- Winning away from home regularly
- Witnessing us win away for the first time at Upton Park of all places to send us top. (I’ve not had much luck in away games)
- Two trips to Wembley (alright both unsuccessful but Wembley!)
- That win at Eastlands
- Champions League nights at the Lane.
- Topping our Champions League group with the holders in it.
- Inter Milan, AC Milan and Real Madrid at the Lane!
- Battering Inter.
- Winning in the San Siro. The San Siro ffs!
- Continued success against Chelsea including one of the best Spurs performances I’ve ever witnessed.
- Winning at Anfield.
- Seeing us score 9 against Wigan.. Nine! I was fortunate to have a season ticket on the corner of the Shelf/Park Lane too so 8 of the goals flying into my end of the ground in the second half.
- Sending the Brummies down.

Plus a shedload of cracking goals and cracking football. What a fantastic 3 years in charge, it sounds baffling to say I’m not a big Redknapp fan but thank you ‘arry.

I’ve no doubt posted this before but it’s a cracking video for any Spurs fan.
‘The club that Bill made’.

Anyway the timing was fitting. The legend passed away on October 23rd 2004 so yesterday was the 7th anniversary of his death. I’m pleased we won for him yesterday too.
I hate the use of the word ‘legend’ when it comes to football but it’s probably not high enough praise in this case.

It’s been on my mind a bit today because I can never get over the impact the man had on the club - his club.
He joined the club as a 16 year old in March 1936. Obviously the older he got the less involved he was in the club but he pretty much held a role at the club until his death in 2004. 68 and a half years! Some of that was split due to fighting for his country in WW2 but overall such an amazing contribution to the famous club I love.

People who know me will know I have a fair bit of obsession with Spurs but it’s nothing in comparison haha.
Mind boggling and he made the club it is today.

‘Sir’ Bill Nic - never forgotten

Fucking buzzing. Pride of North London, times are changing gooners.
Piss off back to Woolwich.

I said any win would do. Nervy but we got the win. Our time for an unbeaten decade record in this derby.

What a night that 2-1 was - better than the 5-1. Celebrations for the Danny Rose goal were insane. However today I am feeling the nerves. I said to Billy the other day that I felt we were favourites for this game, now that everyone else is saying it I’m starting to panic haha. I don’t like this feeling. I’ve never known us to be favourites for this game, the days of having no hope were much easier to cope with :(I reckon we can smash this lot today but any win will do. COYS!

Bloody penalties! Why do we never have success with penalties? :(
We score six and still don’t progress :(

Just a quick post on the football.

The season finally starts. Spurs have some points! :D
- Ledley is world class. A crock maybe but a world class crock at that. He plays, we don’t concede. Simple.
- Back to 4-4-2 and we win.
- Actually sign a striker who can put the ball in the net.

Sounded like our other debutant was superb too. Great result away and I can actually enjoy the rest of the weekend.
